Hi, I’m Kristen!
After quitting my full-time job I went all-in on the entrepreneur life at age 25. I’ve loved running my own business and have grown so much both professionally and personally during the process.
While I do some corporate design work, I absolutely love working with small-businesses and local organizations. I know what it's like to start (and run) a business that feels like your lifework.
I believe good design should be accessible to everyone, especially new and aspiring business owners, which is why I meet you where you’re at: whether you’ve just started your business, are looking for a visual revamp, or need ongoing design support.
I want to be the person you go to for design questions — and the person in your corner rooting for your business. My goal is to empower my clients by providing the tools and visuals they need to go out into their communities and make a positive impact.
Design should be FUN (I promise, it’s not that serious)! And you should love your brand. :)
When I’m not working, my time is spent…
→ outside on the trails
→ trying new vegan recipes
→ crafting, drawing, or LEGOing
→ playing DnD with friends or Dreamlight Valley on Switch
→ enjoying some emo and metal music, with a side of pop
→ taking care of my leopard gecko, Echo, or my fish tank
New name, revamped look, same individualized design expertise.
I started my business as Kristen Mann Design LLC back in August 2017 as an energetic, hustling 25 year old in the city of Boston.
Like many of my clients, I began my professional journey with no plan, making changes on the fly and implementing as I learned. I was eager to work with clients and start networking, so I didn’t waste any time on thinking of a business name. I spent maybe an hour on my logo and choosing my brand colors and fonts, said to myself “good enough!” and jumped right into business ownership.
9 years flew by in the blink of an eye, and my business has changed so much since the start. I felt that it was the right time to go deeper, assess my core values, review my strengths as a designer, and, ultimately, finally complete a visual rebrand worthy of my experience.
If you’ve ever started a business, you know that one of the toughest decisions to make is choosing a name — this is honestly what kept me from doing a rebrand all these years! I wanted the name to feel authentic, to speak to what I do effectively, and connect with my ideal clients on a deeper level. I’m grateful that I was able to dream up something that I believe is all those things — Mann Made Studio. I love that it still incorporates my last name, is a little punny, and has a bit of intrigue.
Aside from the obvious creative connotation of the word “made” there’s a lot packed into the simple name:
✓ I like that it may raise some eyebrows when new clients find out it’s a “one-womann” show (with no men on my team).
✓ I like that it still integrates my last name, keeping the original homegrown vibe while also elevating my brand to the next level. I want my clients to know that they are working with ME, and that the quality of my work isn’t changing.
✓ I like that it hints at my disdain for AI, and that I am supportive of human artists and the creativity, uniqueness, and messiness of life.
✓ I like that it speaks to humanity and the idea that every person moves through life in ways that work for them – and that there’s not one “right” way to do anything.
✓ I like that it’s a bit unserious, speaking to my core value of authenticity and candidness.
My hope is for my clients to feel as connected to the new name as I am —that they feel heard, seen, and understood on a level that other designers they’ve worked with may not have been able to reach.
I meet my clients where they’re at, not only creating design work that they love and resonates with their audience, but also within a process, budget, and timeline that realistically works for them. It’s why I offer designs built in Canva, Loom demo video walkthroughs, and as-needed website maintenance sessions among other things.

I’m happy to take the stress of design work off your plate if it allows you to focus on doing what you love and making a positive impact on your community. We live in a fast-paced world where the way we share, interact with, and view design is constantly evolving. What worked last year may not work this year, and I honestly love it. I dig a challenge, and my absolute favorite part of my job is hearing that my clients can breathe a little easier knowing that they have a visual brand that they are both proud of AND attracts their clients.
